Issues d'une même histoire géologique et climatologique, chacune de ces rivières a pourtant eu et a toujours un destin singulier, sur le plan de sa nature même de cours d'eau comme sur celui de ses rapport avec les hommes. Deux rivières tout à fait différentes, deux personnalités aux caractères totalement opposés.

Doubs, Loue, crossed destinies

The Doubs and Loue are the two major rivers of Franche-Comté, two emblematic figures of the region, linked by a unique feature in Europe: one is the "daughter" of the other, because of the mysteries of circulation water in the bowels of the Earth. But they have two "destinies" totally opposed.
For years, the Loue is dying slowly, while the Doubs never worn as well, a situation exactly opposite to that of past decades. Destinies in which the responsibility of men is well underway,  for better or for worse.
